Curriculum Development & Management (CALM)

Last modified by adminhebat on 2013/07/02 14:42

This unit is responsible for the management of curriculum initiatives on campus, for all existing and new academic programmes.Among our main responsibilities are:

to assist in the development of new programmes, specifically providing advice on the formats to use for submission of formal documents to MQA and MOHE
to conduct training sessions on topics related to curriculum development, such as writing effective learning objectives, designing assessment for higher education classrooms, student-centred learning and so forth
There are essentially two main processes in applying for a new programme - two documents (using two different formats) have to be created and submitted at various levels of management. The breakdown of the typical process for a new programme is illustrated below:

The pdf version of this flowchart is available here.

We will continually update materials for reference and training in this section, to enable all UNIMAS academic staff to gain access to the latest developments on Curriculum development works that are taking place on campus, and beyond.
