This course provides students with the basic knowledge of heat transfer. This course is designed to focus on the characteristics of transferring thermal energy (heat) from source to process or endue points. The basic heat transfer mode such as conduction, convection and radiation will be discussed to generate clear idea on the course. The course covers introduction to heat transfer, introduction to conduction, introduction to convection, steady state, one dimensional conduction, external forced convection, internal forced convection, natural convection, heat exchangers, radiation, multi-dimensional conduction, convection process of boiling and condensation and radiation transfer between two or more surfaces.
