SYNOPSIS

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of direct current (dc) circuit theory commonly used in electrical and electronic engineering analysis. Techniques and principles such as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, Ohm’s and Kirchoff’s laws are explored. Advanced complex circuit analysis methods that include nodal and mesh analysis, superposition, source transformation, Norton’s and Thevenin’s theorems are then studied. Basic understanding of operational amplifiers (op amp) and various types of ideal op amp circuits are included. Capacitors and inductors series and parallel configurations as well as excitation to dc source are also covered in this course.
